I have been trying to lose weight, build muscle, tone what I have, etc for quite some time. I have seen no real results. I was eating better and such, but that has fallen by the wayside in times of stress and such.
So here's what I was thinking: Can X percentage of my 198 friends on FB make enough of a ruckus to boost my motivation? I'm thinking that with this blog, keeping up with workouts, meals, etc (you may even get some good recipe's out of following me on here - I mean I do cook well) that I can lose 20-30 lbs in 12 weeks. From Oct. 1st to Jan 1st. And once I do that I want to expand it to be able to build the stamina to quite literally take a hike for 2 weeks along the Appalachian Trail.
But wait - I want to invite my social network to join me. I want to see how many of us can take up the quest and really lose the weight. There is study upon study to show that a social network has more pull over motivation and the breaking of bad habits than ANYTHING else. So what say you friends of mine? Are you in?
Count me in! I've already been running some, but I'm definitely looking forward to some recipes. I'm not all that creative when it comes to cooking.
ReplyDeleteActually, I wouldn't mind joining you on that eventual hike along the Appalachian as well!
I'm down. I just want to run faster; I don't have a lot of weight to lose. So if you can do this, I can run more often.
ReplyDeleteThere.
I support you 100%. Everyone loves a great challenge.
